Shining Force is a classic, Bran. I've always loved those games. My favorite RPG of all time (so far) was the Phantasy Star games, mainly #4. Maybe it's because they were my first RPGs. Maybe it's because I've clocked more hours on PS games than any other game, ever. It breaks my heart that I've yet to really see PSO, much less play it.
A friend of mine got a PS2, and lent me his PS1. I've been playing Lunar Silver Star Story, and Chrono Chross. I'm almost done with Lunar, but it's taken me forever. It the type of game where you have to complete each dungeon in one sitting, or you get so lost that you have to leave and start the dungeon over. I kept getting interrupted, so it took me forever to get through it. Heck, I'm not even on the second disk yet. I think I've only got three more areas to go, though.
Chrono Cross is going to take me months to finish. I keep forgetting where I am in the game, and have to either run to a really crappy strategy guide that is not very accurate, or run to every location on the map. If I could just sit down and play for a few days straight, I'm sure that neither game would pose a challenge...
My next games are going to be Final Fantasy Tatics (I LOVE that game), FF9, and Grandia. I might finish them all by some time next year. Then he's got even more games for me to play. W00t!

I really couldn't get into Final Fantasy Tatics, but then again that maybe because I wasn't very good at it. Just watch out for the character dialoge it's the pits sometimes

I've never really gotten into any games like that. They take up too much time. Kind of like posting on these boards.

I loved Final Fantasy 9. It's the most light hearted of the FF games I've played. Didn't care for number 8 although I completed it.
-
Ugh, FF8 was the worst of the Final Fantasy games.

You're not wrong. I spent ages on FF8, finally completed it and sat there thinking "I didn't enjoy that at all."
Having said that, I enjoyed FF10 so much (made by the same team) that I dug FF8 and gave it another go. I was quite enjoying it, until the story got going.
I'm completely bloody stuck on FF6, though.
And I have a hankering to get FF1. I remember playing it on emulator and it being rock hard.
I like FF games.

When is the Starwars game coming out? I might get into an online game like that. Especially if I still haven't found work after I graduate. ;)

I started on FF Tatics and enjoyed it a lot, but got sidetracked so long ago that I'd have to start over at this point. My PS is in storage (the closet) since we moved (nearly a year ago) so I haven't played any PS games over the past year. Just Diablo II on PC (I don't get much time to play any games a week, so those few hours tend to go there). GF and I went through a period of time when we played her Dreamcast a lot (Tony Hawk games are just fun), but it's been neglected lately, too.
Here's a link to Star Wars Galaxy: http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/
I figure there's a good chance if I got into true multiplayer games, I'd want to do that one.

SWG (Star Wars Galaxies)is being delayed. I beleive due to the fact that most of the recent releases in this generie have been failures. Good art and graphics, lousy interface and movement. I've been in beta for SWG for sometime and I'm sure the producers want to put out a quality product so have pulled the release.
